Surface Shield
Broad-Spectrum Protection
Hazpro Surface Shield is effective microbes including bacteria, fungi, mould, mildew, algae, yeasts, and biofilm.
Long Term Protection
Because Hazpro Surface Shield uses a covalent bond to adhere to surfaces, it remains viable for as long as the surface is intact. Surfaces can become damaged with time, including scrapes, cracks, and gaps, and it is recommended that Hazpro Surface Shield be reapplied annually.
Discover Surface Shield
Hazpro Environmental is proud to utilize (AEM 5700) known world wide as “Aegis®”, a revolutionary defence changing the battle on harmful microbes. Aegis®’s active ingredient is composed of positively – charged molecules shaped like a layer of swords; this coating actively prevents and controls the development of Bacteria, Mould, Fungus, Yeast and Algae as an active surface protectant. Once applied and bonded to a hard or soft surfaces, Aegis® protects the surface 24/7 for up to 365 days.
Aegis® is not a disinfectant – Aegis® is a long term Anti-Microbial Surface Protectant

Surface Shield Protected Surface
- Creates an invisible physical barrier to prevent microbes.
- Punctures the cell membrane
- Provides an active physical deterrent to odour causing micro organisms.
- Non-leaching of toxic chemicals or poisons
- Delivers ongoing protection for up to 3 years on hard surfaces; or the lifetime of woven and porous materials
- Prevents active microbial growth.
What is Hazpro Surface Shield?
Hazpro Surface Shield utilizes an innovative technology called Aegis®. After being applied to any surface, Aegis® acts like a bed of swords rupturing and destroying all microbes that come in contact; treated surfaces become inhospitable for microbial activity. The technology is simple; Aegis® is a long-chain polymer comprised of saline, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon, and once applied will remain on the surface for one to three years.

Offices & work places
Microbes and germs that linger in offices: lunch and break rooms, office space, washrooms, lobbies and high-touch surfaces.
Toxic and allergen causing molds often found in carpets and HVAC systems
Microbes that cause odour, staining and material decolorization common on office furniture and textiles.
Health care & medical facilities
Odour and microbes including bacteria commonly found in medical facilities and offices.
Microbes that cause odour, infection, staining and material decolorization common on medical equipment, furniture, and textiles; including uniforms, gowns, drapes and blankets.
Additionally toxic and allergen causing molds often found in carpets and HVAC systems and with older facilities.
Sports & recreation
Odour and microbes including bacteria commonly found in fitness and recreational facilities.
Microbes and germs that cause odour, staining and material decolorization common on fitness and recreational facilities including equipment, locker rooms, showers, group class areas, lobbies and customer service stations.
The degradation of assets associated with the use of harsh chemicals and abrasive techniques linked to the removal of microbial contamination.
Construction & building management
Odour and asset damaging bacteria, mold, fungi, algae and mildew that are commonly found in the construction industry and remediation processes.
Microbes that cause odour, staining and material decolorization and degradation common on both building supplies and finished projects. Protect and prevent microbes from taking hold on Roofing, Drywall, Lumber, OSB, Siding, Stucco and Concrete and many other areas.
Aegis® can help you protect your projects from the potential damage from microorganisms such as mold.
